Kids under 6 years old are free of charge (Note! Lunches for them are not included on the group tours. There is children's menu in local restaurants to order and pay on the spot). For kids from 7 to 17 years old and students ISIC is $10 USA pp. 

   Tour description (the total duration 21 hours)

This tour includes all the best that St. Petersburg and its suburbs have. If you are active and have only 2 days in our city, then this tour is especially for you. You will not have much time to relax, but you will feel the beauty and elegance of this city, you will understand why the revolution in Russia happened, whose hands built this beauty and much more.

 The first tour day (duration 13 hours)

Tour starts with boat trip (duration 1 hour) - view the streets, beautiful mansions, architectural ensembles, palaces of St.- Petersburg from the water angle (Spit of Bazil Island, Rostral Columns, Trinity bridge, Summer garden, Michael’s castle, Church on Spilled Blood, General Headquartes, Winter Palace (Hermitage museum), Palace bridge...). The city has more than 80 rivers, canals and ponds, more than 600 bridges together with its suburbs. You sail along the rivers and canals under a variety of fabulous bridges. 

Then a visit to the Hermitage Museum, which is the largest museum of art in Russia. It numbers more than 3 million works of art, representing different countries, people and ages. The museum consists of 5 buildings connected by passages (The Winter Palace, the Little Hermitage, the Old Hermitage, the New Hermitage, the Hermitage Theater). You go through the passages to see all the buildings. You will have a look at some of gala rooms of the Winter Palace, works of Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael's Loggias and much more.  

 
Please note! Works of impressionists and post- impressionists are not included in the tour. This exhibition is located in a separate building and takes 1.5 hour.
 
After lunch you go to Pushkin Town. Officially, it is one of the districs of St. Petersburg. The town got its name in honor of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. 

On the way a visit (optional) to some of unusual subway stations, that are nicknamed the Underground Palaces, take a short ride.

In Pushkin Town: a visit to the summer residence of the Russian tsars - Catherine Palace in the Russian baroque style, which is quite impressive with its size. It was completed during the reign of Empress Elizabeth (daughter of Peter I) in 1756 and named after her mother – Catherine I. The Palace is famous for the Amber Room. The Prussian king Friedrich I presented 22 amber panels to Peter I in 1716.

After Catherine Palace walk through the French regular Catherine Park.

From Pushkin Town you go to Peterhof - Capital of fountains. The town also belongs to one of the districts of St. Petersburg. Distance between these two towns - 37 km.

In Peterhof: a visit to the Peterhof Fountain Park and walk through the gardens and fountains, which are called “Russian Versailles”. Beautiful fountains were created on the order of Peter the Great in imitation of the French fountains of Versailles. More than 150 fountains and cascades are located in Peterhof Park.

Then a visit to the Peterhof Grand Palace. The Palace was designet by the famous Italian architect Rastrelli for Elizabeth I. The interior is decorated with gilded carving.
  
Finally you drive back to St. Petersburg.
 

The second tour day (duration 8 hours)

 
The second day starts with a visit to the Faberge Museum. It has the largest collection of Faberge Eggs in the world and the luxurious interiors of the Shuvalovsky Palace.
 
Then a visit to the Savior on Spilled Blood (the Church of Redemption). A place where the Russian Tsar Alexander II was mortally wounded and his blood was spilled. Later his son Alexander III ordered to build this unusual church in honor of Alexander II. It is beautifully decorated with mosaics.
 
After that a visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress, the first structure of St.- Petersburg. The foundation stone was laid by Peter I himself on May 16, 1703. Then a visit to the Peter and Paul Cathedral, the burial place of Russian tsars from Peter I to the last RussianTsar Nicholas I and his family. Its golden spire is the symbol of the modern city. The cathedral was built right on the territory of the fortress.
 
After lunch a visit to St. Isaac's Cathedral, which is the fourth tallest cupola construction of the world. Famous French architect Montferrand designed this magnificent church. It took 40 years to build. Since 1858 the church used to be the principal cathedral of St.-Petersburg until the Revolution. In 1931 it was converted to a museum.
 
Finally a visit to the famous Yusupov Palace. The palace was bought by Nikolai Yusupov in 1835. You get acquainted with the original interiors of the rich palace. The tour includes an exposition of the murder of Grigory Rasputin. Rasputin was a special person, a kind of fortuneteller. He could treat hemophilia, the disease of Alexei, the only heir to Nicholas II. This mysterious man was murdered in the palace on the night of December 16-17, 1916. You will learn many interesting details about the murder.
