Tour description (the total duration 3 hours)
St. Petersburg, Petrograd, Leningrad - these are the names of the city that changed each other.
This is city of Federal significance, the second most populous in Russia. It was founded by the Russian emperor Peter the Great in 1703, was the capital of Russia from 1712 to 1918.
St. Petersburg was the center of three revolutions: 1905-1907, the February and October revolutions of 1917.
During the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1944, the fascist siege lasted 900 days, as a result of which about a million people died.
May 1, 1945 Leningrad was declared the hero city.
