December 30 Marble staircase of Arsenal Block was opened after the restoration. Guests of the museum will also see another beautiful revived interior of the Arsenal Block - Rotunda. This part of the Gatchina palace suffered greatly during the World War II. Direct hit by bomb and fire in 1944 almost completely destroyed the ceremonial decoration of the marble staircase and surrounding areas. The restoration works were started in 2013.
