Bell of St. Isaac's Cathedral.01.12.2015
Preparatory works were started early in the morning - around 8:00 am. Later, workers using ropes and a crane lifted the massive bell on top of the cathedral. It should be noted, that the rise of the bell in the north-west bell tower was planned on Friday, November 27, but the operation was moved because of a storm warning. The chief evangelist or holiday bell, which has become the last - the 16th in the recreated bells of St. Isaac Cathedral, was consecrated on November 25. Massive construction of copper, tin and silver was cast in Voronezh after the original drawings of the cathedral by architect Auguste de Montferrand.
