St. Petersburg “Museum of mitten” organize action "Petersburg bloom!". It is dedicated to 312th anniversary of St. Petersburg and aims to unite creative people.
Miniature copies of St. Petersburg attractions such as St. Isaac's Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress, the Bronze Horseman, the Admiralty, griffins and bridges will be decorated with knitted colored patches, the creation of craftswomen of the museum. Architectural monuments will be installed on a flower meadow.
Within a few months the needlewomen were creating a bunch of 312 flowers.
Now flower meadow is ready. Residents: mistress of knitting and just wishing to make a gift to the city joined the action - brought to the museum yarns and knitted flowers.
The real miracle of the knitted northern capital is 5-meters knitted rainbow created by the well-known St. Petersburg artist Mamaly.
The installation will be installed in the "Museum of mitten" May 27 - the day of 312th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
