The restoration of Peter and Paul Cathedral.18.05.2015
Peter and Paul Cathedral - Orthodox Cathedral of St. Petersburg is on territory of the Peter and Paul fortress. Today it is monument of the baroque architecture, Grand Duke Burial Place.
It was designed by Italian architect Domenico Trezzini on the order of Peter the Great, 1703-1733.
May 17 the temple of the fortress was consecrated after the restoration. External and internal restoration of the Peter and Paul Cathedral lasted for several years.
Now it is historical museum of St. Petersburg. Services are held regularly in the cathedral since 2008.
