Fountains’ season in Peterhof17.05.2015
On Saturday, May 16 fountains’ season in Peterhof was opened with a theatrical performance. This year's festival was dedicated to the tercentenary of the Grand Palace.
The full restoration of the Grand Palace was completed three years ago. Today the palace is in perfect condition: the roof, the facades and the window frames - renovated. But just 70 years ago the Grand Palace was in ruins.
More than 450 people participated in the festival. It was begun at 1 pm and lasted for less than an hour. Bright fireworks and start of the fountains were the culmination of the celebration.
The performance took place at the Grand Cascade and presented three hundred pages of the museum’s history.

St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko participated in the opening ceremony of the fountains’ season.
