In May, Sand Sculpture Festival starts.
This year, cartoon and fairy tales characters can be seen in two city parks - in South Seaside Park 12 sculptures (May 1 - August 31, 2015) and the Moscow Victory Park 16 sculptures (15 May - 31 August 2015). The sculptures will be up to 5 meters height.
The best Russian sculptors, working with sand, take part in the creation of sand figures. From St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Ryazan, Krasnoyarsk, Izhevsk and other Russian cities, which became winners of international festivals around the world.
Sculptors take a special, fine-grained sand to create sculptures, which is specially brought from quarries. Total 600 tons of sand will be required.
Professional masters will show the basic principles of figures on the sand and create several sculptures with children.
