Crosswalks in St. Petersburg.23.04.2015
An experiment, which was conducted by St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "Lensvet" by advice of the traffic police, was launched in the Admiralty district. On pedestrian crossings 11 light-emitting diodes were installed. They illuminate the crosswalks and make visible against the background of the roadway.
In September 2015 according to the results of tests "Lensvet" will draw conclusions about the appropriateness of the experience.
Specialists will check the reliability of the equipment, as well as the brightness of the diodes. It will help to determine, how the innovation will improve traffic safety.
“The crosswalk more noticeable, the better” - said head of NGO "SPb.Avto" Svyatoslav Danilov.
