 Summer Garden is the oldest garden in St. Petersburg. In 1704 Peter the great ordered to construct a regular garden. He drew a plan for the future park himself. At first it was planted by annual flowers only. That's why it was called the Summer Garden.

 
Director of the Russian Museum Vladimir Gusev said: "Soon visitors will pay for the opportunity to walk in the Summer Garden".
 
Entrance to the park will be paid during summer period - from June 1, and the price per ticket will be moderate - about 100 rubles.
