On Monday, April 13 fifth patient appeared at the Center for the study and conservation of marine mammals in village Repino. The baby seal was seen by a fishermen, who was fishing near the fifth Kronstadt fort. The man reported it to the Marine Inspection Border Service of the Russian Federation, its experts have called zoologists. They rescued the seal with Rescue Service of the northern capital’s boat.
The animal was exhausted and dehydrated. It had no chance to survive without human help. The seal is the smallest and exhausted at the Rehabilitation Center of pinnipeds. Weight of the female - about 16 kg.
Thus, there are five seals at the Center for the study and conservation of marine mammals now.
