Exposure "Samurai and Cossacks" will be decorated by rare and never-before-exhibited items.
 
April 25 in the Museum of Artillery a new room will be opened - "Samurai and Cossacks. Blades and traditions" with comparative exposition of weapons, suits of armor, items of military life and cultural-historical analysis of two different cultures.
 
The main idea of ​​the project - to show the value of courage, honor and loyalty, patriotism and self-sacrifice in the different cultures of the world.
 
The exposition will be decorated with rare and never-before-exhibited objects from the fund of the Military Historical Museum. One of the most valuable rarities is naginata, a long samurai sword of Catherine II’s time. It was presented by the Japanese Government to Russia for the homecoming of three Japanese sailors after the shipwreck near Aleutian Islands.
 

The exhibition hall will run until 31 May.
