The April Fool02.04.2015
Center of the city was crowded by clowns! The traditional XIIth "Funny festival" was opened on the April Fool's Day, April 1. The procession of clowns started from Malaya Morskaya Street to the monument to famous Russian writer Nikolai Gogol. Children were very glad to see with the clowns donkey, decorated with colored ribbons.
Cannon shot was given from Peter and Paul Fortress in honor of the festival.
This year artist Mikhail Boyarsky was awarded the title of "King of the funny festival " and made the shot. Previously famous people were awarded the title: astronaut Georgy Grechko, politician Valentina Matvienko, artist Sergei Migitsko, sculptor Mikhail Shemyakin and others.
As well bubble show was conducted in honor of Gogol’s birthday.
