February 23 St. Petersburg celebrates the Day of Defender of the Fatherland.
Events in honor of the holiday:
11.00 am - wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad and other memorial complexes in St. Petersburg areas.
11.00 am - 4.00 pm- the first in St. Petersburg show "The Transformers". This is a colorful action with six giant robots that will dance, shoot guns. The show is free.
6.30 pm - St. Michael's tournament will be held in Vyborg Castle. Soldiers in armor will fight with swords and axes.
9.00 pm - Festive artillery salute.
8.00 pm - 10.00 pm - the lighting of torches on the Rostral columns.
