The exposition of mining minerals: diamonds, agate, lapis lazuli, Charoits, amethysts got luxury modern furniture with LED backlight, eliminating the heating of the exhibits. Mining University can be proud of its collection - a brilliant collection of minerals of all kinds, royal gifts. In 1776 Catherine II gave the museum the largest chunk of malachite in the world, weighing 1507 kg. Alexander II gave the museum a copper nugget - about 900 kg, called "bearskin" - because of the external similarity. The investment in the new life of the museum amounted to 220 million rubles from the budget of the Mining University. Exposition of the museum is free.
