Tomb of Alexander the III.28.11.2015
The works were carried out in the framework of a criminal investigation of a family member’s death of the Russian Imperial House of Romanovs. It is also planned to raise and open the lid of the copper shrine. The opening was attended by investigators, criminalists, leading experts in the field of genetics and forensic medicine, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church. The experts will take the samples for comparative analysis. Samples of the remains of the Russian Emperor will be transferred to Moscow for genetic research.
